The lifelong resident of Savannah was born on September 22, 1942, to the late William Odis and Rosa Amerson Whitcomb. Joyce was a longtime employee of the Waffle House. Surviving are two daughters, Terrina, and Tonya; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Ronny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, all of whom he loved dearly. He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. E.N. Brown of Statesboro. Joy was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on December 30, 1944, to Betty Jane and Norman Addison McGee, who was serving in the Air Force. On this day many are grieving her loss; her three siblings, John Heitmann, her husband of 55 years, daughter Kathryn, and longtime friends and caregiver, Janet Riley Clifton and Beth Maina.

Doris Cone Bell, age 92, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 26th, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She was born on April 8th, 1930 to the late Andrew Jackson Cone and Iva Lee Cook Cone in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Savannah High School, Armstrong Junior College, and Florida State University earning degrees in Early Childhood Education and Education in Home and Family Life. She also earned Masters’ Degrees in Education and Curriculum Development. Mrs. Bell was a member of the now defunct Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Genevieve Dzielinski, two sisters, Diane S. Morrissey and Gail Dzielinski, and her niece Laurie Morrissey Richmond. She was born on October 22, 1939 in Port Washington, LI, New York and lived on Long Island until her marriage in July 1960. Barbara attended Paul Schreiber High School in Port Washington.
